Before attempting to fix flash drive on your own, there are a few things you should consider before proceeding with it. Fixing a flash drive is not as easy as it might seem. There is a possibility that data on the flash drive will become unrecoverable while you try to fix it.

A flash drive is a small and delicate device. These storage devices have limited life, but there is no guarantee that they will last more than a few days. Many people are ignorant about this fact and tend to have way too much confidence in their flash drives. They keep all their important files on their flash drive for convenience as they work on different computers while at work or at home. They forget to take a regular backup of their data. The result of this ignorance is they risk losing all data stored on the flash drive if it stops working.

You may get different errors if your flash drive starts malfunctioning. Some of the errors that you may get are “USB device not recognized”, “Flash drive not recognized” or, “USB flash drive-Please insert disk into drive”. Sometimes, you cannot copy files stored on the USB drive to your computer, which may be caused by corruption of data on the flash drive. These are only some examples of flash drive malfunctioning. There are several recovery software programs available on the Internet. Some recovery programs are free while some are offered as shareware or paid software.

A majority of the free programs are not much help and may be too complicated to operate. The shareware recovery software have limited functionality, which means you can only see the list of files that can be recovered. You need to purchase the recovery software to recover the files. These programs are priced so high that they don’t appear to be a good value for money proposition. If you are looking to fix your flash drive without burning a hole in your pocket, visit FlashDrivePros instead.

The FDP Wizard Flash Drive Data Recovery Software is an affordable and easy to use recovery software. Even a novice can fix their flash drive and recover files without any assistance by simply relying on FlashDrivePros. A majority of recovery program provides users with a host of options that only add to the confusion and makes the recovery process more difficult. FDP Wizard Flash Drive Data Recovery Software is only intended to recover data from NAND flash drives such as USB drives, pen drives, or memory cards. Developers at FlashDrivePros have avoided including unnecessary options in the recovery software that are not applicable for flash drives. The FDP Wizard Flash Drive Data Recovery Software is priced affordable and costs less than other similar programs available in the market.

If you are a student, you get the recovery software at a reduced price. FlashDrivePros stands strongly behind its recovery software, and therefore, you are presented with a unique offer when you buy FDP Wizard Flash Drive Data Recovery Software. If you are unable to fix a flash drive and recover your files using FDP Wizard Flash Drive Data Recovery Software, you can claim a full refund by opting for FlashDrivePros’ data recovery service.

If It Sounds Too Good To Be True, It Probably Is – FREE Is Not All Its Crack Up To Be – Especially When It Comes To Flash Drive Data Recovery

FREE Flash Drive Data Recovery

Okay I’m desperate. I got irreplaceable data my broken flash drive, and I don’t have a lot of money to spend. I had those “Geeks” tell me it will cost several hundred dollars just to take a look at it with no guarantees. Same thing at the local computer shop. You do a search online and find FREE flash drive data recovery service, you’re excited and pat yourself in the back.

So what did you do?

You sent your flash drive in, feeling pretty confident, but in your deep stomach, you feel a pinch but you ignore it, your wallet is speaking louder. A week later you get a response and the company tells you, you need “advanced recovery” and its gonna actually cost a few hundred dollars. You can do three things:

You freak out, fume, start kicking the walls and then tell this F@$%%ing company to send you your flash drive back. They tell you they will, but then they don’t. They stop all communication. You complain online, and no one listens. You’ve lost your flash drive files forever.

Your desperate, because you need the files bad, so you give into their schemy tactics and pay them anyways. Kicking yourself for not listening to your gut feeling, that was tugging before.

You can learn from this and make sure, next time, you do your homework and find a company with good reviews and that has a guarantee somehow.

I hope you learn from this and don’t get trapped into FREE service scams.

Its great if you didn’t have to send them anything. But once you do, out of time, out of desperation, you give in. Why do you think in a hostage exchange, the bad guy has the upper leverage, coz’ they’ve got leverage.

FREE Flash Drive Data Recovery SCAM

Next time, do your due diligence and search online for reviews and comments. Look at their BBB review, and their social media profiles. Looking at just their site for testimonials, ain’t going to do it.

Hope that helps.

Like me, I thought if my files were in a flash drive that no longer worked, I had to throw it away. Glad to know, that’s not the case. So those papers you’ve worked on tirelessly for hours on end, can be recovered. Pictures that were priceless and one of a kind can once again be admired.

The question is, where to go and how much will it cost me to get it repaired? Before you take that leap, take the time to do some research online and see what’s out there.

Here are some things to consider when getting a flash drive repaired:

Buy from a reputable company, check out the testimonials

Look for the BBB rating (Better Business Bureau) if available

Deceptive pricing (read the fine print) – lower does not always mean better

Require a guarantee, no fix, no pay

Get a couple of quotes

Call the company, and talk to someone

Other flash drive perks

Flash drive repair like any other service, can be tricky, so make sure to follow the tips above. Let us know if you have any good or bad experiences. We’d love to hear what you have to say.

Don’t panic, your flash drive may not need repair just yet!

The first things you should do:

Make sure your flash drive was not damaged due to bumping, dropping, etc. (If the tip is loose or overheating, then it is physically damaged.)

Try it on multiple computers, PC or Mac.

Test your USB port to make sure its working, by plugging another device and testing to see if it works properly.

Windows User, Follow These Instructions:

Select the “Windows” key (between the Alt and Ctrl keys) and E key simultaneously to open a new “Explorer” window.

Right-click “My Computer” and select “Manage”.

Under “Storage”, select “Disk Management”.

(This is the critical step that will tell you if this is going to work or not) At the bottom of the window you should see a list drives associated with your computer. If your flash drive is listed, good news! This procedure should fix your problem. Go to step 5. If not, this solution won’t work and you might want to consider hiring a data recovery.

Right click on the drive listed in that window which will bring up a menu. Select “Change Drive Letter and Paths”.

Another window will appear showing your missing drive. Select “Change”.

Another window will appear with a drop down menu on the right. Select the letter “W”.

When the message “Changing The Drive Letter of a Volume Might Cause Programs No Longer To Run“. appears, click Yes.

Your flash drive should now appear under “My Computer“.
